Video: Environment Canada releases more information on Tuesday’s tornado; seeking photos of damage

The Saskatchewan office for Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has released more information on the tornado that was spotted near Estevan this week. According to a post on the ECCC Saskatchewan Twitter account, at approximately 5 p.m.

The Saskatchewan office for Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has released more information on the tornado that was spotted near Estevan this week.

According to a post on the ECCC Saskatchewan Twitter account, at approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday, a tornado was observed to the west of Estevan. The agency received multiple reports and photos of the tornado, however there were no reports of damage.

This tornado has been given a preliminary rating of EF0.

Environment Canada meteorologists are seeking pictures of damage it might have caused. Should you have any information regarding this event, or to report severe weather at any time, please call 1-800-239-0484, send an email to skstorm@canada.ca, or tweet to #skstorm.

Note that these storm assessments are considered preliminary and may be changed if more information becomes available.

This is the fifth confirmed tornado in Saskatchewan this year.
