Silvernagle to the next round

Team Saskatchewan has made it to the championship pool at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

The North Battleford team of Robyn Silvernagle made it with two victories on Wednesday. They defeated Yukon in the early game 6-4, setting up a clinching game against Prince Edward Island in the late contest. Saskatchewan won that contest 7-3.

The wins gave Team Silvernagle a 5-2 record, but they would have moved on regardless after the Northwest Territories lost their game to Yukon 13-6.

Their next scheduled games are against Northern Ontario on Thursday and Alberta and Ontario on Friday. The final spot in the championship pool was being decided Thursday morning as Manitoba and British Columbia met in a tiebreaker in the day's first game.
