Novice 2 Broncos win league title

Bantam AA

The Bantam AA Broncos watched their season come to a close on March 7 with a 4-1 loss to the Saskatoon Outlaws at the EPA.

The loss was the Broncos’ second of the series and gave the Outlaws a two games to none sweep of their North Division semi-final series.

Luke Stadnyk scored the lone goal for the Broncos, who were tied at zero after the first and trailed 2-0 after the second.

Bantam A

The Broncos’ final game of the season did not go so well, as they were upended 7-4 by Muenster on March 5 in Muenster.

Chase Stevenson, Kylen Klettberg, Jackson Leonard, and Dallin Fraser each scored once for the Broncos, who trailed 3-1 after the first and 6-3 after the second.

Peewee 1

The Peewee 1 Broncos saw their regular season come to a close in ugly fashion as they dropped a do-or-die game three against Raymore/Strasbourg 13-1 on March 9 in Strasbourg.

Carson Haugan had the lone goal for the Broncos who trailed 4-1 after the first and 6-1 after the second.

With the loss the Broncos see their league season come to a close as they lost two games to one to Raymore/Strasbourg.

Peewee 2

The Peewee 2 Broncos watched their season come to a close after losing 5-4 in overtime at home to Drake/Nokomis on March 6.

The loss was the Broncos’ second of the series, giving Drake/Nokomis and two games to one victory in their C-Side Consolation playoff series.

Joshua Schmidt led the way offensively for the Broncos scoring twice, while Tristen Nordick and Cuyler Brooks added the others as the Broncos were tied at one after the first and led 4-3 after the second.

Atom South

The Atom South Broncos are Consolation C-Side championship series bound after sweeping past Watrous 1, two games to none.

The Atom South Broncos kicked off their C-Side Consolation playoff series on a high note as they picked up a dominant 9-1 win over Watrous 1 on March 5 in Watrous.

Preston Hoppe led the way offensively for the Broncos scoring five times, while Sloan Harder, Jackson Haugan, Maya Mortensen each scored once as the Broncos led 4-1 after one and 6-1 after two.

Needing a win to move into the final, the Broncos made sure to leave nothing up to chance as they edged past Watrous 1 4-3 on March 8 in Watrous, in the Broncos’ first of two chances to put an end to the series.

Preston Hoppe scored three times, including the overtime winner to pace the Bronocs, while Jackson Haugan added the other as the Broncos trailed 1-0 after the first, and 2-1 after the second.

Novice 2

The Novice 2 Broncos are league champions after picking up a 6-5 win over Humboldt 3 on March 7 in Humboldt.

The win was the Broncos’ second of the series, giving them a shocking two games to none upset of top seeded, and before this series undefeated, Humboldt 3.

Tryce Wallin led the way offensively for the Broncos scoring twice, while Jake Hoppe, Thadeus Molsberry, Darian Nordick, and Carter Trann added the others as the Broncos were tied at two after one, and at four after two.

Novice 3

The Novice 3 Broncos picked an inopportune time to lose their first two games of the season.

After rolling through the regular season and the first round of the playoffs undefeated, the Broncos lost two straight to Humboldt 2, and with it watched the league championship end up in their hometown rivals’ hands.

Carter Possberg and Sloan Harder led the way offensively for the Broncos scoring twice each, while Hudson Armstrong added the other as the Broncos were tied at two after one and at four after two.
