The Marysburg Royals keep on winning.

The boys from Marysburg kicked off their week with a win in their lone league game as they knocked off the Dodgers 9-7 in Saskatoon on June 26.

Nick Anderson and Thomas Bollefer combined to pitch seven strong, with Anderson pitching four innings, and Bollefer three to earn the win.

The Royals were boosted by an excellent night at the dish as the club belted out 13 hits, with Brody Frerichs and Curtis Strueby each collecting a trio.

The win pushed the Royals’ record to 8-1, six points clear of the second place Hoppers.

While the win over the Dodgers was their lone league game of the week, the contest was just the beginning of a busy week, which saw the Royals head south for the annual Kenosee tournament.

While the Royals failed to bring home the title, the club wrapped up the tournament with a 2-1 record.

A 4-3 loss to the Swift Current Goats in their tournament opener stood as the difference between a trip to the final, and the early exit.

Despite the early loss, the Royals were able to quickly get back on track as they picked up a 3-2 win over Beulah, and wrapped up their tournament with a 9-3 win over Estevan.

With the Kenosee tournament now in the books, the Royals will turn their attention back to league play with their next action coming July 3 when the Royals travel to Saskatoon to take on the Stallions.
