The Humboldt Broncos have a rich history of more than 40 years of Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League action.

To celebrate that history, an alumni association has been set up, and subsequently endorsed by the Broncos board of directors.

The alumni association, while serving as an autonomous organization independent of the Broncos organization, will work closely with the Broncos to promote the general welfare of the Broncos, and foster engagement of all alumni and friends of the organization.

“The Humboldt Broncos Alumni Association is honored and excited to be working with the Bronco organization, former Broncos and the community of Humboldt,” said Bob Bachynski, managing director of the HBAA in a press release. “We believe its inception will further solidify the special bond we all have as part of the Bronco family.”

The intent of the association is to build on the rich history of the Broncos through its commitment to its players, team, and community.

Any money raised by the association will be independently managed by a board of directors comprised of representatives from the alumni association, the Broncos, independent directors, and representatives from the community of Humboldt.

“The Humboldt Broncos are looking forward to working with the Humboldt Broncos Alumni Association with our aligned vision and goals,” said Kevin Garinger, president of the Humboldt Broncos in the release.

“Our club’s endorsement of this organization recognizes the lifelong relationships formed by Broncos players and supporters, many of which have been rekindled in light of the recent tragedy impacting our club.”
