The loss brought to an end what was otherwise a solid tournament for the Dodgers, with the club wrapping up the tournament with a record of 5-1.

The Dodgers kicked off their provincial championship on a high note as they rolled through the round robin stage, giving up just five total runs in three games, as they knocked off the Saskatoon Blue Jay Broncos 11-4 on July 20, the Saskatoon Cardinal Aces 15-1 on July 21, and the Regina White Sox 10-0 later that same day.

Thanks to their perfect 3-0 round robin record, the Dodgers advanced to the provincial quarterfinals.

In the quarters the Dodgers were matched up against the Saskatoon Astro A’s.

An excellent showing at the plate led the Dodgers passed the Astro A’s and into the semi-final as the club picked up a 16-8 win.

The Dodgers’ next test came in the way of the Estevan KPC Sluggers.

In a matchup of the Pool B champions and the Pool D champions, it was the winners of Pool B that emerged victorious, as the Dodgers picked up an 11-4 win over the Sluggers to move into the provincial final.

Unfortunately for the Dodgers their magic would end there as they were shutout in a 15-0 loss, leaving the club with provincial silver.
