With the calendar flipping to July and training camp less than two months away, the Humboldt Broncos continue to add to their roster as they added a pair of players over the last week.

The Broncos made a move with the Olds Grizzlys of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), which saw the green and gold add a forward and a defenseman.

The forward coming to the green and gold is 20-year-old Owen Guenter.

The Dewinton, Alta. native joins the Broncos after spending the previous two seasons in the AJHL, where he posted 18 goals and 34 assists in 117 regular season games.

Guenter’s Grizzlys missed the playoffs in 2017-2018, but they did advance to the playoffs in his rookie season, where he registered one goal in seven games.

Guenter will be joined by Grizzlys teammate Chase Felgueiras, who was also acquired by the green and gold.

The 17-year-old Calgary native joins the green and gold with as many as three years of junior eligibility, as he is a 2000-born.

The defenseman joins the green and gold after spending last season playing with the Grizzlys, where he racked up three goals and eight points in 45 regular season contests, as a 17-year-old rookie.

Felgueiras joins the Broncos having no junior A playoff experience as the Grizzlys missed the playoffs in his rookie season.

With more players joining the green and gold, the Broncos organization continues to inch closer towards having a full roster ready to hit the ice at training camp next month.
