Missed opportunities sunk the Bruno Bisons in a rare one-game week as they fell 5-4 to the Selects on June 27 at Leakos Field in Saskatoon.

The Bisons loss did not come without some great opportunity for the boys from Bruno as they held the bases loaded in the seventh inning with a chance to tie and potentially win the game, but Kellen Crossman got himself out of his own jam to preserve the win, picking up a complete game.

The loss dropped the Bisons’ record to 7-6 on the season, good enough for a tie for fourth place in the league standings.

The Bisons sit two games back of first place Wombats, with their next chance to close the gap coming July 4 when the Bisons head to Saskatoon to take on the Wombats at Stonebridge North.
