Humboldt Broncos win first game of playoff series against Estevan

HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt Broncos won the first game of the playoffs against Estevan 4-1. It was the Bruins that scored the first goal of the game, which took place in Estevan March 15.

HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt Broncos won the first game of the playoffs against Estevan 4-1.

It was the Bruins that scored the first goal of the game, which took place in Estevan March 15.

Josh Patrician of the Broncos tied up the game with only seconds to spare in the second period.

The floodgates opened for Humbodlt in the third period, with goals made by Bryson Cecconi, Reid Arnold while the team was shorthanded, and Drew Warkentine.

Rayce Ramsay stopped 29 out of 30 shots made on the Broncos' net, while Estevan's Grant Boldt stopped 21 out of 24 shots.

The next game of the seven-game series will be held in Estevan March 16 at 7:30 pm.
