Saskatchewan mom charged with the second-degree murder of her infant daughter

KINDERSLEY, Sask. — A woman from a town in west-central Saskatchewan is accused of murdering her infant daughter.

Kindersley RCMP say on Sept. 27, 2018, Mounties responded to a report of a one-month-old infant in cardiac arrest.

Police say the efforts of EMS responders and physicians could not save the girl.

An autopsy lead investigators to believe the death was suspicious.

Police say Teenie Rose Steer, who is 28, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

She is to appear in Rosetown provincial court on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
