The Board of Directors of the Humboldt Senior Citizens Club is looking for help.

The Board of Directors of the Humboldt Senior Citizens Club is looking for help. We are currently involved in transferring ownership and control of the building known in the past as the Humboldt Senior Citizens Club, and now named The Humboldt Community Gathering Place. The reason for this change of ownership and responsibility is that the members of the Humboldt Senior Citizens Club feel that they are no longer able to carry the obligation for the management of the building and all its assets.

This building continues to serve many groups and individuals in the city as the perfect place to hold public events and to share family gatherings. With its upstairs certified commercial kitchen and potentially marketable commercial stage, its accessibility as a much needed arts production venue is important. Then, with a well-furnished downstairs games area complete with a two-lane bowling alley, pool tables and space for numerous other activities, it is perfect for family gatherings and youth groups. The building has very recently undergone several renovation projects, and now provides rooms for small group meetings as well as a large open meeting area. There are several ongoing activities booked into the facility, and the potential for more activities seems limitless.

To accomplish this transfer a Board of Directors will need to be formed to accept ownership. For this we are asking help from the citizens of Humboldt. If you, or someone you know, would be interested in serving on this new board, and helping to preserve the contribution of this important community asset, please contact us. You can express your interest by emailing us at humboldtgather@gmail.com Or if you have questions to be answered before you commit to your involvement, phone us at 306-682-3864.

All of this is to say that keeping this building serviceable and active represents an important community contribution. So, we, the Board of the Humboldt Senior Citizens Club, sincerely hope that you will help by allowing your name to stand as a potential member for the Humboldt Community Gathering Place Board of Directors.
