DRAKE, LEROY — A series of sign switcheroos, thefts and vandalism has the Humboldt-Langian RCMP asking for the public’s help.

On April 23 in Drake, some stop signs, yield signs and parking signs were switched with each other.

“They actually they took the time to remove the bolts and nuts and actually do it properly,” said Cst. Geoff Applegate with the Humboldt-Langian RCMP.

Some of the signs were also stolen. Around 10 signs were affected.

In the days before May 6, at the intersection of Range Road 2201 and Township Road 342 five miles south of LeRoy, an illuminated, solar-powered stop sign worth more than $3,000 was ripped out of the ground and left it in the ditch. Damage was caused to the solar panel.

Those with any information about these cases are asked to contact the Humboldt-Langian RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
