Two-vehicle collision on Highway 5 east of Humboldt

HUMBOLDT — A vehicle traveling eastbound along Highway 5 preparing to make a left-hand turn was hit by another vehicle, resulting in the temporary closure of the highway to traffic. Humboldt emergency services were called to the scene at 10:30 a.m.

HUMBOLDT — A vehicle traveling eastbound along Highway 5 preparing to make a left-hand turn was hit by another vehicle, resulting in the temporary closure of the highway to traffic.

Humboldt emergency services were called to the scene at 10:30 a.m. on June 7. Mike Kwasnica, Humboldt’s fire chief, said 11 of their members attended the scene.

Both drivers were taken to Humboldt District Hospital to be assessed for injuries. Humboldt RCMP are still investigating.
