Two seriously injured in plane crash near Archerwill

ARCHERWILL — A plane crashed northwest of Archerwill. The two men inside the plane, ages 58 and 52, were safely extracted and were taken to hospital for what police described as serious injuries.

ARCHERWILL — A plane crashed northwest of Archerwill. The two men inside the plane, ages 58 and 52, were safely extracted and were taken to hospital for what police described as serious injuries.

Greenwater RCMP said in a media release they received a report about the crash, located nine kilometres west and six kilometres north of Archerwill, on Jan. 9 just before 10 a.m.

Initial investigation by the police revealed two occupants were trapped inside the plane. The extent of their injuries were unknown prior to police arrival. Weather conditions consisted of extreme fog and frost at the time of takeoff.

Archerwill First Responders, Rose Valley and Naicam EMS, Tisdale Fire Department, the Shamrock Ambulance ACP Rover from Wadena and STARS Air Ambulance also attended to assist with the emergency response.

Greenwater RCMP said they released the scene that day and criminality is not being considered in the investigation at this time.
