A truck was stolen and a Humboldt apartment complex was broken into all on the same night.

“It’s believed that those two incidents may be related,” said Cst. Geoff Applegate of the Humboldt RCMP.

The pickup truck was stolen from a home on Aspen Place sometime during the overnight hours between Dec. 7 and Dec. 8. Within the same timeframe, there was a break and enter within the 2300 block of 12th Avenue, north of Quill Centre.

“Several of the storage units in the parking area were entered and gone through, and various items were stolen,” Applegate said.

The pickup truck was recovered with some damage in the following days near Prince Albert.

Applegate said police continue to investigate and asked those with any information to talk to the Humboldt RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
