TISDALE — The Saskatchewan Rush provincial lacrosse club is featuring Tisdale in their Hometown Spotlight Series.

The Hometown Spotlight Series serves to take an in-depth look into communities around Saskatchewan, with a couple communities featured per game. Special guests from each community will be recognized at the game along with video highlights on what makes their community unique.

“As we head into our fifth year in Saskatchewan we just wanted to thank the communities for the support that we’ve had so far,” said Brenley Kroeker, community relations for Saskatchewan Rush.

She said Tisdale was picked due to the support community members gave them.

“We have a large rush fan base coming from Tisdale every game and they’re the loudest fans, they’re passionate, we see them wave that Rush flag everywhere and they’re one of the nine selected communities around Saskatchewan.”

Tisdale, Saskatchewan will be featured at the Rush Home Opener on Saturday, Dec. 14 versus the New England Black Wolves on Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon.

Kroeker said that she wants fans to know when they see the video that they are the ones responsible for the success.

“We just want to say that we understand that when we play in the season we do and in those winter months and driving conditions aren’t the best, Tisdale being as far as they are to Saskatoon our fans make the effort to make as many games as possible – large season ticket holder fanbase. Thank you for making our team and Rush Nation what it is.”

All video highlights will be submitted by the Town of Tisdale.

Carol Lawrence, assistant administrator with the town said they’re in support of the feature.

“The Town of Tisdale is always excited to be put on a public stage,” she said.
