Thunderstorm watch through early evening: Environment Canada

EAST CENTRAL — A thunderstorm watch has been issued for the Humboldt, Melfort, Tisdale and Nipawin regions. Environment Canada issued the watch on July 18 at 12:47 pm.

EAST CENTRAL — A thunderstorm watch has been issued for the Humboldt, Melfort, Tisdale and Nipawin regions.

Environment Canada issued the watch on July 18 at 12:47 pm.

“Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain,” they said. “Severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon into this evening in portions of east-central Saskatchewan and west-central Manitoba along a trough of low pressure. The risk of severe thunderstorms should end some time this evening.”

Environment Canada has also issued tornado watches for some parts of central Saskatchewan including Saskatoon and Prince Albert.
