Three appointed to Carlton Trail College's board of directors

EAST CENTRAL — Carlton Trail College has appointed three new members to its board of directors. One is from Humboldt, another from the RM of Wolverine and the final one from Wadena.

EAST CENTRAL — Carlton Trail College has appointed three new members to its board of directors. One is from Humboldt, another from the RM of Wolverine and the final one from Wadena.

The board is responsible for setting the strategic and financial direction of the college. The members are appointed by the provincial government at the college’s recommendation.

Gordon Lees of Humboldt brings over 29 years of management experience and community involvement to the table. Sandy Flory, a councillor for the R.M. of Wolverine, has knowledge of rural issues, as well as a solid understanding of governance procedures, while Shaun Haskey from the Wadena area has a blend of agricultural business expertise and community involvement.

Finishing their terms on the Board are Denis Bergerman of Muenster and Luz Marina Dominguez of Wynyard.

“We thank Denis and Luz Marina for their committed service,” said Glenn Hepp, the board’s chair, who’s from Humboldt. “We also welcome the addition of Gordon Lees, Sandy Flory and Shaun Haskey as their insight will help strengthen Carlton Trail College’s ability to respond to the needs of our communities.”

The other member of the board of directors are Adrienne Jackson of Wynyard), Evan Doepker of Annaheim) and Sommer MacLeod of Wadena.
