HUMBOLDT — The Horizon School Division has made a decision to pause extracurricular sports from Oct. 26 to 30 due to a case of COVID-19 at one of their schools and the increasing number of cases across the province.
Lance Hiltz, communication services officer with the Horizon School Division said that while the sports are paused, the board will be reviewing the safety guidelines in their return to sport protocol.
“This is a precautionary decision, operating out of an abundance of care for the health and safety for all students, staff, families, and volunteers,” Hiltz said on Oct. 28. “More information regarding extracurricular sports in Horizon will be shared next week.”
