At an event celebrating the best of Saskatchewan’s newspapers, The Recorder won second place in the best all-round newspaper with a circulation of over 6,500 category.
The Saskatchewan Weekly Newspaper Association hosts its Better Newspapers Competition annually to determine the best in the province’s newspaper industry.
The Recorder also placed second in the best front page for a newspaper with a circulation of over 6,500 category.
Editor Devan Tasa won second place for best agricultural coverage, while reporter Jessica Durling won third place for best conservation writing.
The awards were announced at a ceremony April 6.
