Partners Family Services is receiving an extra hand from RBC Humboldt with a donation of $73,770.

The donation is set to go towards support and service program needs in light of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy.

Of the over $70,000, “$50,000 was donated through RBC Foundation, with the remaining $23,770 being donated from RBC employees around the globe,” Partners reported in a press release.

“RBC employees from around the world were deeply affected by the tragedy experienced by the Humboldt community,” shared RBC Community Manager Jodi Smith in a press release. “In moments like these, we as a global community are brought together, inspired by this community’s resilience, to give what we can. From RBC Foundation and the pockets and hearts of RBC employees from as far away as Europe, this donation to Partners Family Services in Humboldt is a small way for us to let Humboldt know we’re thinking of you,” shared Smith. This is not the first time RBC has made a substantial donation to assist in Partners programming.

“Last year, RBC Foundation provided us with a grant to pilot our Youth Mental Health Project, through which we have been offering youth mental health counselling services in Humboldt and Area for the past year,” said Partners executive director Haley Kennedy.

“Partners Family Services offers services based on a “when it’s needed, where it’s needed” model,” said the press release, with services available for people wherever the client feels comfortable; whether in a home, community, school, or office.
