Three teens die, three other people hurt in southern Saskatchewan traffic crash

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. — Three teens are dead and three other people seriously hurt in a traffic collision in southern Saskatchewan.

RCMP say a car with five teens inside crashed Wednesday night with a pickup truck on a grid road north of the village of Waldeck.

Police say the 18-year-old man who was driving the car and two male passengers ages 16 and 18 died at the scene.

A 19-year-old woman who was a passenger in the car is in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

An 18-year-old woman passenger was being treated in hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries in Regina.

The driver of the pickup, a 55-year-old man, was reported to have serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital in Swift Current.
