Today marks three years since Happy Marie Charles disappeared in Prince Albert and police are appealing to the public for information.

Prince Albert Police say that throughout the investigation many people have been cooperative giving statements and facts about the night Charles went missing and they urge anyone who has additional information – or who has withheld information – to please come forward so Charles’ family can find closure.

“Whatever the truth is, the family and all those connected deserve to know what happened to their loved one,” said Sgt. Kathy Edwardsen with the Prince Albert Police Service. “We urge anyone who has any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward and help police find the truth.”

Police hit a dead end in 2019 after they released photos of a man in surveillance photos and asked the public for help identifying him. In November 2019 police said they identified the man in the photos and determined he wasn’t a suspect.

Happy Charles was last seen on April 3, 2017, in the area of the Prince Albert Collegiate Institute (PACI) 45-20th Street West.

Happy Charles was born March 22, 1975, and stands 5-foot-1 and 115 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair, and a scar on her left cheek. She also has a tattoo of a rose on her right hand.

Anyone with information about the disappearance of Happy Charles is asked to contact Prince Albert Police at 306-953-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
