Nipawin man charged after police search finds drugs

NIPAWIN — A 41-year-old Nipawin man has been charged after police searched a Nipawin home and found drugs.

The search was conducted at 10:05 am on June 4. Officers seized approximately two pounds of methamphetamine, as well as stolen property believed to be from a local business in Nipawin Officers also located other drug paraphernalia and other items consistent with drug trafficking.

The man has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and possession of the proceeds of crime. He is currently in custody.
