Health authority releases updates on injured Broncos

Four survivors of the Humboldt Broncos bus accident remain in critical condition, according to the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Four survivors of the Humboldt Broncos bus accident remain in critical condition, according to the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

The health authority released limited information in an press release today, “in response to a huge outpouring of public support and concern.”

Of the remaining 10 survivors, four others are in serious condition and four are in stable condition.

Two Broncos players who were hospitalized after the crash have been released.

Privacy laws prevent the health authority from providing more information on the condition of patients, or releasing any names.

The health authority continues to work with the community of Humboldt to provide mental health counselling to people who require it.

As well, the press release noted, “Flags through Saskatchewan Health Authority facilities have been lowered to half-staff in recognition of the lives lost.”
