Individual at Viscount Central School diagnosed with COVID-19

VISCOUNT — The Horizon School Division is reporting they have been made aware of a COVID-19 diagnosis in an individual at Viscount Central School on Oct. 23.

VISCOUNT — The Horizon School Division is reporting they have been made aware of a COVID-19 diagnosis in an individual at Viscount Central School on Oct. 23.

"Families in Viscount Central School and others with a connection to the individual are being informed of this case, and we are working closely with Public Health to assist in the contact tracing process," a Facebook post from the division said. "At this time, school will remain open to students on Tuesday, Oct. 27."

Students have Monday, Oct. 26 off across the division as it is a staff collaborative learning day.

The school division said further details couldn't be provided to maintain the privacy of the individuals involved.
