MIDDLE LAKE — Humboldt RCMP are asking for the public's help in connection to a complaint that stated a 43-year-old man was assaulted in Middle Lake and sustained serious injuries.

Police received the complaint on Aug. 28, 2020.

The incident occurred on Aug. 22 between 10:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. The lone male victim was walking near the 400 block of Centre Street in Middle Lake where the alleged assault occurred. He was transported to the Humboldt District Health Complex where he received treatment for his injuries and was released later in the day. Humboldt RCMP said their investigation continues to determine who assaulted the man, or how he sustained these injuries.

RCMP are seeking public assistance from anyone that may have information related to this crime or any exterior video that may have captured these events between 10:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Saturday August 22 in Middle Lake.
