HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt Historic Campground is delaying its opening until further notice.
“We will continue to accept reservations for later in the summer, all dependent on the success of the continued efforts to stem the tide of the COVID-19 virus,” said a media release from the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce, which operates the campground. “The campground staff will monitor the situation closely and announce when we are prepared to open again.”
The delay is following the lead of the provincial government. Campgrounds at provincial parks will not open on the May long weekend as is customary.
“Safety is the top priority for the campground and its staff and customers,” said the Humboldt chamber. “We will look forward to seeing you when it is safe for all of us to do so.”
