EAST CENTRAL — There’s no change at the top among the elected officials of the Horizon School Division.

Foam Lake’s Jim Hack will continue to serve as the chair of the division's board of education, while Humboldt’s Linda Mattock remains vice-chair.

The two positions were elected by the trustees of the board at a meeting Nov. 17. They are elected on an annual basis by the trustees

Hack has been chair since 2011.

“It is indeed an honour to be part of this important team that has come together for the next four years, and I want to thank our trustees for their support to have me continue serving in the role as board chair,” he said. “I look forward to the work that we will engage in as a new board following the recent election.”

Mattock has been vice-chair since 2018.

“I am excited for what we will accomplish in the months and years ahead, and I am honoured that Horizon’s board has chosen me for the role of vice chair,” she said. “I have been proud to serve the board in this role, and I look forward to many great things to come.”

The two lead a board of 14 members that were recently elected in the Nov. 9 civic elections.
