EAST CENTRAL — Jim Hack, the trustee for the Foam Lake area, has been selected by Horizon School Division's board of education to serve as chair for another year.
“I'm humbled and honoured to be chair of such a great board of education,” he said after the Nov. 13 board meeting. “They care about students each and every meeting and throughout the year, and it's a great honor to be the board chair for another year.”
Hack has served as chair since 2011.
Linda Mattock, the trustee for the Humboldt area, has been selected to serve as vice-chair.
“It's a real honor to serve in that capacity,” she said. “I'm just very pleased that I have the board support in doing that and working together to move Horizon School Division forward.
This is Mattock’s second year as vice-chair.
Horizon’s board votes for a new chair and vice-chair annually.
