WYNYARD — A collision between a wide load semi truck and a westbound SUV resulted in a death.
The SUV had just turned west onto the highway from 9th street when the collision occurred on the evening of March 18. The lone occupant of the SUV, a 60-year-old Wynyard woman, was fatality injured during the collision and died at the scene.
The Wynyard RCMP, EMS, and Wynyard Fire Deptparment arrived on the scene at 8:30 pm.
Wynyard RCMP said in a release the accident is currently under investigation with the assistance of a forensic collision reconstructionist. The semi was hauling a large empty tank, so there was no spill of hazardous goods.
