HUMBOLDT — A positive case of COVID-19 has been detected at an individual at Humboldt’s St. Augustine School.

Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools said they were informed of the case on May 4.

“We are working with Public Health to notify parents and caregivers. SHA is recommending that all close contacts get tested. Risk of exposure for anyone not considered a close contact remains low,” said a media release from Greater Saskatoon Catholic.

The affected classes will switch to online learning.

“We hope all who are ill or affected by COVID-19 in any way are doing well,” the release said. “As a community of faith, we continue to support each other and pray for all members of our school communities who are ill.”

The division said it cannot reveal any more details so it can protect privacy of those involved.
