EAST CENTRAL — Fuel restrictions at co-op cardlocks have been lifted.
All co-ops across Western Canada were affected by the restrictions, including the Humboldt, Beeland, Prairie North and Pineland Co-ops.
The restrictions were caused by blockades at the Co-op Refinery Complex by Unifor Local 594. The blockades have come down after a judge imposed a fine to the union for violating an injuction that protected access to the refinery for Federated Co-ops.
"Since access to these sites has been regained, fuel is again being supplied to Co-op Cardlock locations and local co-op locations that were out of fuel," Federated Co-ops said in a media release.
The restrictions were 300 litres of diesel and 100 litres of gasoline per card per day.
