UPDATE, 9:15 p.m., Oct. 21: Samara Watts has been found.

CARROT RIVER — A 13-year-old Carrot River girl is missing.

The Carrot River RCMP said they’ve been searching for Samara “Sammy” Watts since she was reported missing to police the night of Oct. 20.

Police said Watts is well known in Carrot River and is often seen walking around town; however, she has not been seen since Oct. 20 at approximately 6:30 p.m.

“There are concerns for her well-being,” a media release from the Saskatchewan RCMP said. “Officers have spoken to her usual associates and have searched the places she normally frequents.”

Watts was last seen wearing a pink hooded sweat shirt, with a black cat logo on the front with kitten ears sewn into the hood. She was also last seen wearing a navy and white striped t-shirt, blue jeans, and grey winter boots with pink laces. Samara is approximately 5” tall (154 cms), with a very slim build, dirty blonde to brown hair, and hazel colored eyes.

RCMP said it is possible for Watts to be seeking shelter or hiding in properties such as outbuildings, sheds or empty campers.
