Throwback: Persistent anglers on the first day in 1969

HUMBOLDT — Saturday's opening day for the fishing season [May 3, 1969] proved to not too good a day according to anglers at Burton Lake.

Here, David Dust and Garry Jaeb watch Alvin Nagy throw a line while David Mueller concentrates on his bait near the pumphouse at Burton Lake.
