Louise Schweitzer, North East Outreach’s executive director, said this year has presented its own unique challenges as they haven’t been able to host their usual fundraisers, which they need to fund programs like their domestic violence shelter.

“Prairie North Co-op’s donation from Fuel Good Day will assist us in alleviating some of that financial stress and ensure that we are able to continue to assist our clients on their journey of healing, and betterment of their situation,” she said. “Through the variety of programs we provide at NEOSS and amazing supporters such as Prairie North Co-op, we are working to change the lives of individuals one life at a time. This affects generations to come.”

The co-op will also make a $1 donation for every Co-operative Coffee or Big Cool purchase.

“Once again, Fuel Good Day is providing the opportunity for us to work together with our members and customers for the benefit of our community,” said Terry Tremblay, Prairie North’s general manager. “This is a great fundraiser that shows how small actions can have big impacts.”
