HUMBOLDT — The St. Mary’s Villa Foundation and Cottage Boutique are once again getting ready for their annual fall fashion show.

Oct. 6 will see local models walk the catwalk in support of St. Mary’s Villa residents with fashions by Cottage Boutique and eyewear provided by Humboldt Vision Centre.

Donna Muench, the foundation’s executive director, said this year’s funds will go towards much needed repairs of St. Joseph’s Wing. The foundation hopes to start with repairs to the Fireside Lounge with hope that the Saskatchewan Health Authority will approve funds to address other areas of concern like peeling wallpaper, chips in the paint, and protectant around door jambs.

“These are resident’s homes,” Muench said, adding that some problems are causing the wing to be rather unsightly.

The fashion show will include outfits for all ages of women with models showing off clothing for everyone from their early 20s all the way to fashionable ladies in their 70s.

This year’s fashion show will have a new layout, Muench said.

“We listened to the people who attend every year and what they want to see... we’re going to have more of a catwalk-type look to it without the stage.”

Muench said they are in much need of support for this fall fundraiser with tickets still available at Cottage Boutique.
