Dance week declaration supports dance festival

HUMBOLDT — With a swish of his pen, Rob Muench, Humboldt’s mayor, made a declaration to support an annual dance event.

April 8 to 14 has been declared Humboldt Dances Week.

The On Stage Dance Festival will be taking place at the Uniplex, starting on April 11 and going until April 14. There will be almost 800 dancers and 60 instructors participating at the festival.

“It is all for the kids,” said Amanda Klitch with the festival. “Competitions help inspire students. It helps to get them to learn, helps them to grow and improve.”
