HUMBOLDT — Since she doesn’t have a lot of opportunities to show off her vocal talents, Humboldt’s Hope Beggs has wanted to audition for Telemiracle for a long time.

Luckily, Telemiracle judges have picked her to perform at this year’s Saskatchewan based telethon in Regina on March 7 and 8.

Beggs will be singing Brave by Sarah Bareilles for the entire province 3:22 p.m. on March 8.

While the audition was nerve wracking, Beggs had a good talk with the judges about the song she auditioned with.

Brave is very inspirational, she said, which is why she wanted to share that song with the rest of the province.

Beggs has been singing for as long as she can remember so having the opportunity to try for such a worthy event has been a wonderful experience, she said.

The money and awareness that has been raised by Telemiracle are wonderful, she said, and she is so happy to get behind that.

Beggs is also a dancer with Impact Dance Company and together with her fellow dancers, they will be raising money for Beggs to take with her to Telemiracle. Beggs and her family will also be putting together a fundraiser for Beggs to raise money for the telethon, especially all artist contributions will be matched by Nutrien.
