Athletes from Humboldt that won a provincial title or placed nationally in 2018 were recognized for their efforts during the intermission of a Broncos game.

At the Jan. 23 game, 27 award winners were honoured, with 11 of those winners stepping out on centre ice in front of a large crowd.

Rob Muench, Humboldt’s mayor, said on behalf of council, he was pleased to honour those award winners.

“I would also like to point out that people that have stood in your position, that you are in tonight, over the last years have gone on to do things like win Olympic medals and participate in world championships,” he told the award winners.
