To whom it may concern,
I am not a parent. I have never played hockey. I live in Metro Vancouver. My heart aches for all of you.
The word ‘tragedy’ does not begin to adequately describe what happened on the Highway a few days ago. While investigators may indeed find the answers that they are looking for, the families and friends.....they may never find the answers they need.
May you find some solace in that these wonderful men were surrounded by friends and on their way to do what they loved to do.
If strength truly lies in numbers, know that you are not alone and collectively Canada wraps its arms around all of you.
