They were young, they were brave and strong.

Their coaches taught them right from wrong.

They had ambitions to succeed,

For God to meet their every need.


But woe! Then came that fateful night,

When lives were lost on that bleak site.

Survivors dreams and hearts were broken,

Parents left to grieve with words unspoken.


Dear Ones, don’t lose heart I pray,

Tears may come at night and day,

But peace be with you all I pray.

God’s peace be with you all.
