Accident on HWY 5 sends three to hospital

A collision on HWY 5 on Aug. 10 involving two vehicles sent three people to hospital in Saskatoon, according to Humboldt RCMP.

A collision on HWY 5 on Aug. 10 involving two vehicles sent three people to hospital in Saskatoon, according to Humboldt RCMP.

Constable Nic Lewis says that the three suffered non-life threatening injuries and they are recovering in hospital after being transported to Saskatoon by ambulance.

Humboldt RCMP, Humboldt Fire, and Humboldt EMS were called on scene around 11 a.m. and HWY 5 was closed for a couple of hours. Bruno First Responders, Bruno Fire, and Wakaw and District EMS also assisted on scene.

Lewis says they would like to thank the public for their patience during the highway closure.

“Everyone was respectful of the detours they had to make and we appreciate that.”
