Joseph Perault September 19, 1943 - April 29, 2012 The sudden and unexpected death of Mr. Joseph “Joe” Perault of Saskatoon, SK, (and formerly of St. Brieux, SK), occurred at his residence on Sunday, April 29, 2012. He was 68 years of age. Joe was born on September 19, 1943, to Eugene and Anne-Marie (nee Leve) Perault in Melfort, SK. He was raised on the family farm near St. Brieux and attended school in St. Brieux. Joe then enrolled in the school of agriculture at Vermillion, Alberta. In the early 1960s, he took over the family farm. As well, Joe operated the movie theatre in St. Brieux for many years, ran a welding business, and did grain cleaning. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and traveling, especially to Hawaii and Mexico. Joe was a very sociable person and loved visiting with family and friends. His greatest passion was music. Joe was a gifted accordion player who played throughout western Canada, winning many awards for his accomplishments. Despite some health issues, he continued to do some teaching and playing music. Joe will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his three children and four grandchildren: Jo-Anne Perault of Los Angeles, CA; Jeannette Perault, and Steven (Kerrie) Perault of Saskatoon and children Jordan, Tannis, Maxwell and Sarah; three sisters: Olive (Thoephane) Ferre and Jeanne Creurer, all of St. Brieux, and Irene Fagnou of Saskatoon; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Anne-Marie (nee Leve) Perault; one sister, Sr. Marie Perault; and by two brothers-in-law: Art Creurer and Alain Fagnou. The Prayer Service for Joe was held at St. Brieux R.C. Church, St. Brieux, on Friday, May 4, 2012, at 7:30 p.m., led by Bernard Ferre and Brian Bedard. The eulogy was delivered by Chad Daubenfeld. The Funeral Mass was offered at St. Brieux R.C. Church on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Manh Nguyen. Others taking part were: Paige Daubenfeld, crossbearer; Emilie Ferre and Colette Kernaleguen, mass servers; Margaret Fagnou and Tannis Perault, scripture readers; Fernande Ferre, intentions; Denis and Danielle Ferre, giftbearers. Music ministry was provided by Edward Daubenfeld, Chad Daubenfeld, Anne Ferre, Jocelyne Bortis, Lorraine Ferre and St. Brieux R.C. Choir. Pallbearers were Jordan Perault, Robert Fagnou, Daniel Ferre, Gilbert Creurer, Terry Yakimoski, and Christopher Ferre. Memorial donations may be directed to the Saskatchewan Lung Association or a charity of your choice. Condolences to the family may be emailed to theperaultfamily@shaw.ca.
